OUR HISTORY
Serving Central Florida Since 1978
For nearly five decades, the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation has brought local, state, and federal law enforcement partners together to investigate complex criminal activity throughout Central Florida.
Since its creation in 1978, MBI has evolved to meet changing threats while remaining committed to its original purpose: bringing agencies together to investigate crimes that cross jurisdictional boundaries.
From major narcotics and organized crime investigations to today’s efforts against human trafficking, financial crime, and other criminal enterprises, MBI’s history is built on partnership, innovation, and service to our communities.
